Start

2000

Two Paths, One Purpose

Sterling pursued a career as a professional physical therapist and served over 25 years in the U.S. Army, reaching the rank of Major before retiring. Stephen built his business acumen through entrepreneurship and organizational leadership — two distinct journeys that would eventually converge.

2015

The Carter Brothers Consulting (CBC)

Expanding beyond staffing, the Carters launched CBC to serve organizations across sectors — bringing their combined expertise in strategy, change management, and organizational transformation to a wider market.

2025

'The Business of Healing' — Published

Their latest book, The Business of Healing, represents the most personal and powerful work yet — a framework for leaders ready to move their organizations from surviving to thriving.

Early Years

Humble Beginnings in Houston

Sterling and Stephen Carter grew up in Houston, Texas, shaped by a modest upbringing that instilled values of hard work, faith, and determination. Those early experiences became the foundation for everything they would build.

2011

Sterling Staffing Solutions — Founded

The brothers launched Sterling Staffing Solutions, a healthcare staffing agency specializing in matching medical professionals with home health agencies, hospices, hospitals, and rehab facilities. This became the proving ground for their consulting philosophy.

2020

'Double Your Success' — Published

The brothers published their first book, sharing the four core strategies behind building a multimillion-dollar business. The book became a resource for entrepreneurs and executives nationwide.
